MAA North Central Section
About our section
The North Central Section of the MAA serves Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota, as well as the Canadian provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan. We serve those who teach mathematics and statistics at all levels, and those who do research in the fields of mathematics and statistics. Our membership includes faculty from 4-year colleges and universities and 2-year colleges. The section meets twice a year - once in the fall and once in the spring - to provide opportunities for expanding mathematical knowledge, discussing teaching strategies unique to mathematics and statistics, and connecting with others in the region. The section proudly supports the Jerry Heuer Team Competition , the biennial Summer Seminars, and a Section NExT group for new PhD’s.
MAA Connect is the online community for members to connect, communicate, and collaborate with peers. It’s your platform to share ideas, ask questions, and network with like-minded people. You must be an MAA member to access your Section community, but anyone can join MAA Connect!
